Stakeholder Workshop Presentations

Half day workshops were held on April 18th-20th in Niles, New Buffalo, and Benton Harbor to discuss a broad range of issues related to Berrien County transit and the upcoming integration. The purpose of the workshops was to engage stakeholders about their opinions and local expertise. These opinions help build the foundation of existing conditions understanding upon which the integration plan will be built.

Over the three day period over 80 people participated in the workshops discussing a variety of topics including:

  • Transit service planning – Balancing ridership and expectations.
  • Person centered mobility solutions and best practices used in markets similar to Berrien County.
  • Discussion of goals that will guide the evaluation for the future transportation system
  • Review of initial findings regarding travel needs
